Sam Shaw has been a professional wrestler for almost two decades, and during that time, he has become one of the most respected and sought-after performers in the industry.

Shaw’s journey into professional wrestling began in 2004 when he started training under former WWE and WCW star, Curtis Hughes. He would further hone his skills under the tutelage of Bubba Ray and Devon Dudley, the most decorated tag teams in history–The Dudley Boys/Team 3D.

Shaw spent his early years competing on the Florida independent scene, where he quickly gained a reputation for his technical ability and captivating in-ring presence. He traveled extensively, working with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ring of Honor, TNA, and NWA.

In 2012, Shaw signed with TNA after winning ‘Gut Check.’ There Shaw ushered in the creepy era under the persona of Samuel Shaw. Shaw became a fan favorite, known for his high-flying moves and charisma.

In 2019, Shaw signed with WWE, quickly made an impact on NXT, the WWE’s developmental brand, and was eventually called up to the main roster in 2022. His transformation into the enigmatic and mysterious Dexter Lumis truly captured the audience’s imagination. The Dexter Lumis* character was shrouded in secrecy and intrigue. Lumis would often appear out of nowhere, targeting specific individuals or interfering in matches. His silent demeanor and eerie presence made him one of the most unsettling figures in wrestling. Lumis has continued to be a captivating presence on WWE programming, his mysterious persona and unique in-ring style making him one of the most intriguing characters in the company.

Throughout his career, Shaw has been a passionate advocate for professional wrestling. He is a firm believer in the power of the industry to entertain, inspire, and provide escapism for fans worldwide.

In addition to his in-ring work, Shaw is also dedicated to helping the next generation of wrestlers succeed. He offers training and guidance to aspiring performers, sharing his knowledge and experience to help them achieve their dreams through his training facility, Hatchet Pro Wrestling.
